Trams

Lisbon City Center - Downtown Area

This is the most traditional way to know the old city, with its labyrinth streets. The most well-known is tram nr.28, starting just in front of LX4U Apartments at Martim Moniz square. It gives you a general view of Lisbon’s 7 hills and its different districts.

If you wish to do the entire route, tram nr.28 goes from Martim Moniz square (just in front of LX4U Apartments) to Campo de Ourique - Prazeres and it takes approximately 45 minutes. So, to get to your starting point, it will take you around 1.30 hours and you’ll need to pay for 2 journeys.

Another traditional route is tram nr.15, which departs from Figueira square (1min. walk from Martim Moniz square) and takes you to Belém district (St. Jerome Monastery and the Tower of Belém). The trams start at 5.30 a.m. and finish at 9 p.m.
